Bluefin Fitness Blade Aqua Water Rower

Can A Bluefin Fitness Blade Aqua Offer A More Than Basic Water Rowers?

Bluefin Fitness Blade Aqua W-1 Wooden Water RowerThe Bluefin Fitness Blade Aqua Water Rower is a great-looking device that seems to blend traditional stylish aspects of a gentle water rower with something a bit more high-tech.

There are high hopes that this will allow for a better experience long-term, but is it trying to do too much?

The Pros and Cons of this Bluefin Fitness Blade Aqua Water Rower.

Pros:

  •  The water-resistance system is adjustable with a dual chamber.
  •  The wooden frame is strong and attractive with deep sustainable ash.
  •  That frame folds on a hinge for a more compact structure in storage.
  •  There is a nice smooth motion from the pulley system and rail.
  •  You can get more data and workout options than on standard water rowers.

Cons:

  •  The console can have some connection and accuracy issues.
  •  The app requires a paid subscription.
  •  There are some assembly issues.

The Bluefin Fitness Blade Aqua Water Rower has the potential to help with training goals via the clever design and resistance system.

A notable design feature here is the foldable wooden frame. Again, this isn’t that common with this sort of product because you tend to have one long solid wooden rail.

Instead, this one has a hinge in the middle so that you can stand the rower on its end but still create a more compact shape. The little transport wheels help too.

Even though it is adjustable like this, you still get a quality piece of 100% sustainable American Ash with a nice deep tone. This, the shape of the machine, and the black padding and details give this a more high-end look.

Once the Bluefin rowing machine is in position, the tank is full, and everything is adjusted correctly, it shouldn’t be too difficult to get a good rhythm going. There is a knob on the tank that lets you alter the resistance to improve the intensity.

There is also a double chamber design to improve the impact of the water. It shouldn’t be too difficult to change the water and keep everything running smoothly

The rhythmic motion for endurance training is then enhanced by the smooth rail for the padded seat, the quality of the pulley system, and the support from the footplates.

Those plates sit at a good angle on the frame to give you something stable to push off from. They also have straps to hold your feet in place.

The Bluefin Fitness Blade Aqua Indoor Rower has a computerised approach that doesn’t suit everyone.

Another thing that stands out about this product is you have a water rower that is a little smarter than normal. A lot of water rowing machines rely on the simplicity of the tension and motion to get by and don’t throw in any computerized elements.

Here, you have two features for better information and interactivity. The first is the console on the holder at the side. This provides data on your time, distance, calories burned, and stroke count, all in one screen.

Then there is the tablet holder on top. This means that you can follow allow with compatible apps like Kinomap for a more engaging session.

However, there are pros and cons to this approach. Some had issues with the data streams on the console, suggesting that the sensor for the counters wasn’t as accurate as they expected.

This could be down to a bad connection, issues with the assembly, or just high expectations because this isn’t the case for everyone. Assembly issues are possible here because the instructions aren’t great.

Also, you need a paid subscription to use the Kinomap app past the trial period. Not all buyers realised this and found that this limited the functionality and appeal of the machine long-term.

Is this Bluefin Fitness Water Rowing Machine right for you with all of this in mind?

There are some definite pros and cons here to keep in mind when deliberating over this model. If you are keen to get something with a water resistance system that is also high-tech with great data and apps, this might not be smart or reliable enough for you.

But, if you have a Kinomap subscription and just want basic information the computerised features could help.

The main selling point is the quality of the construction, the strong foldable wooden frame, and the intensity of the motion. This all combines to make this Bluefin rowing machine effective in the right hands.
