Dripex Magnetic Rowing Machine Review

Does The Dripex Magnetic Rowing Machine Offer An Intermediate Session?

Dripex Magnetic Rowing Machine for Home UseThe Dripex Magnetic Rowing Machine is eye-catching in the way that it brings the flywheel up and creates a more curvaceous shape.

This immediately gives the impression of a more high-end option. The promise of plenty of resistance, a more user-friendly rail, and other comfort features help too.

But, does this rower do enough to impress everyone?

The Pros and Cons of this Dripex Magnetic Rowing Machine.

Pros:

  •  15 levels of adjustable resistance
  •  Extra measures to improve the rail
  •  A nice design that is more attractive than other rowers
  •  The ability to store it upside down
  •  Ergonomic features for added comfort

Cons:

  •  Questions over the value for money
  •  The display is very small for this level of rower
  •  There are no pulse sensors for a heart rate reading

The design and intensity of the Dripex Magnetic Rowing Machine is a step up from beginner models.

The stand out feature here for a lot of new users is the 15 levels of adjustable magnetic resistance. This is a lot more than you would normally find on this sort of machine.

The idea is that 1-5 is for general aerobic excise, 6-10 for fitness and weight loss, 11-15 for strength training. Therefore, you should be able to find the perfect number to suit your needs that day. There may also be the potential to create your own sort of HIIT with this system.

Then there are lots of nice details in the machine for an easier session. There are ergonomic hand grips for less fatigue in the hands. You can get similar comfort with the shaping of the padded seat.

There is also a strong double aluminium rail with a shock absorber in the rail that should add to the comfort and mobility of each stroke.

You also get moulding and straps around the footplates that should keep feet in just the right position for the perfect angle on the legs and push-off on each stroke.

Then there is a really cool shape to the whole machine, with the curved frame and the inset flywheel. It looks a lot more stylish than the typical shape. That curve continues through to the support for the console.

The shape also means that you should be able to able to turn the machine on its end with ease to store it upright. This compromises for fact that there is no folding mechanism on that extra-strong rail.

The Dripex Ergonomic Rower doesn’t have much in the way of programming or special features.

This machine generally receives a lot of 5-star reviews, but, according to Amazon, it loses points on value for money. So why might that be the case?

This isn’t the cheapest option out there and some may feel that there should be more in the way of programming and interactive features.

There doesn’t seem to be much to do here other than set up the right resistance level and just row. Other machines provide a greater variety of programmes and workout options for diversity over different sessions.

The console doesn’t do a lot other than adjust and fold away for storage. There is a tiny screen for basic data, so it’s as smart as advertised. Press the corresponding button for distance, time, calories, scan.

But, there doesn’t appear to be a pulse reading and no pulse sensors in the handgrips. This could be a problem for anyone that wants to make the most of the higher settings and track their progress.

What does this all mean for the final verdict on this Dripex 15-step Magnetic Resistance Rowing Machine?

There will be some keen fitness fanatics that won’t be able to get what they need out of this machine. The lack of programming and simplicity of the console does limit goal tracking and any extreme progress.

But, this could still be a great choice for those at more of an intermediate level that just want to row for designated times or distances.

The resistance levels, the quality of the rail, and the general design are sure to be an upgrade on an entry-level machine. So, the Dripex rowing machine is still recommendable for the right user.
