HOMCOM Rowing Machine Review

Is The HOMCOM Rowing Machine Too Compact To Work?

HOMCOM Rowing MachineThe HOMCOM Rowing Machine doesn’t look like your average indoor rower. There is hardly anything more to this product than a fixed bar on a rail, some footrests and a moving seat.

The idea here is that this provides a more simplistic, compact device that doesn’t require electricity and folds away when not in use. But, does the design and motion really help users.

The Pros and Cons of this HOMCOM Rowing Machine.

Pros:

  •  The clever folding design is great for storage and transportation
  •  There is nothing complicated for new users
  •  You can still track your progress

Cons:

  •  Not enough resistance or movement in the handlebar for everyone
  •  The rail is too short for taller users.

The compact, folding design of the HOMCOM Rowing Machine does have its perks and you can still track your workout.

The main selling point here really is the compact, folding shape of the metal frame. The metal bar with the handlebar folds flat against the frame and the footrest when not in use and then folds back up in the vertical position for the workout.

The lack of any additional belts and mechanisms means that there is nothing else to add weight or to complicate the design.

HOMCOM Cardio Rower
With that said, you might expect this device to be too basic for a good workout. This isn’t the case for everyone and there are some great reviews for those that found it easy to set up and use.

Once you get comfortable on the padded seat and strap into the footrests, you can then set the resistance levels and watch the data on the small console. The idea here is that you can still get a full-body workout on arms, legs, abs and more with this motion.

Unfortunately, not all users think that the workout with this HOMCOM Indoor Rower is that great.

The main problem with this design is that it doesn’t allow for the same range of motion and freedom of movement as other rowing machines. Some fee restricted in how far they can move their arms and the resistance they feel.

You can’t pull this to your chest like a traditional rower. This issue is made worse by the short rail. The rail is only 130cm from end to end.

This doesn’t leave a lot of room for taller users to stretch their legs out and really work their muscles. It all becomes a bit too awkward to use.

How does this all affect a final verdict on this HOMCOM Folding Rowing Machine?

This cardio rower isn’t going to be for everyone. It all depends on your priorities as a consumer. Are you looking for a light, basic workout with a machine that is compact enough to be used anywhere?

Or, are you after something that has a lot of scope for growth with fitness goals and clever features. This is the former. The folding design and basic motions of the HOMCOM rowing machine will help shorter users keep up with their daily goals in a small way.
