  •  Take your time getting this assembled.

The ProForm Sport RL Folding Rower has some great hardware with comfort features and a clever folding frame.

A stand-out feature of this rowing machine that has nothing to do with the workout at all is the folding frame. There is a clever design here that creates a compact shape that is better for storage than some other folding models.

All you need to do is lift the machine on its flywheel and fold the rail back underneath to meet the feet. The arm for the console then tucks in nicely too.

On that note, that adjustable arm is also great for making the screen easier to read depending on your height. You should be able to keep track of your data on your time, distance, and calories burned or watch a workout programme via a tablet on the shelf.

The rower should allow for a pretty good workout thanks to the 24 levels of magnetic resistance and the free 30-day membership to iFit. The latter allowed for a more structured approach and coaching sessions.

The build of the machine helps too, with details like the pivoting footplates for added comfort, the soft-touch handle to reduce fatigue, and the 115kg user weight allowance.

Some buyers feel conned by the need to pay out for a subscription to this ProForm Sport RL Rowing Machine.

One complaint about this machine is that users feel that they don’t get enough for their money if they don’t want to use the iFit subscription.

You can row and track your progress, but the console is set up for use with the tablet and those app workouts, hence the large speakers. Those that are keen to use the subscription and pay for the renewal have little to say against the product.

There is the risk of faulty parts at times, and the assembly process does require a bit of time and planning, but most still get the experience they were looking for.

Will this ProForm Folding iFit Indoor Rower do enough for your needs?

The feedback for this machine shows how much that iFit subscription is essential to get the best out of this machine. So, that is the deal-breaker here.

Either you pay out to have this renewed and make use of all the coaching and resistance levels and data that go with it.

Or, you may find that there are too many limitations in what you can do. The ProForm rowing machine has some great features for those short on space but isn’t the all-rounder that you might expect.
