The Pros and Cons of this Skandika Unisex Elite Pro Rower Machine:

Pros:

  • a small footprint in an appealing design
  • it is long enough for taller users to row comfortably
  • a quiet, effective air turbine system

Cons:

  • experienced users may prefer a few more resistance settings
  • a little short on features for the price tag

This Skandika Elite Pro Rowing Machine has lot of nice extra details that help it stand out over cheaper models

The first thing to note with this rowing machine it that it really does look like a more high-end model. There is a nice design with the large air resistance fan on the top. The designers have also ensured that there is a contoured, padded sear for enough comfort, a small, easy-to-read console and a small footprint.

There is also a clever design in the frame. It is a little longer than average, for better freedom of movement for taller users. Yet, it still has a helpful folding design for storage.

Skandika Elite Pro Rower MachineMany users are impressed with the performance of this Skandika rowing machine, both in terms of the workout offered and the quality of the motions.

The movements are pretty smooth, thanks to the ball-baring rollers, and the air turbine tech doesn’t make too much noise.

Most seem to be happy with the intensity of their workout, and like additional details such as the chest strap and stroke count on the monitor. But, there is an argument over the value for money

The potential problem with this Skandika Elite Pro Rowing Machine is a lack of settings.

This rower isn’t the cheapest home rowing machine on the marker, but it isn’t the most expensive either. Therefore, there is a certain expectation over the ease of use and features provided.

The details above really do help, but the computerisation may actually be a little more basic than some expect. There are 8 levels of resistance – manually adjusted – and no built-in workout options. This means that users are in complete control of their training, but they may end up hitting an upper limit before too long.

What does all mean for a final recommendation for this Skandika Elite Pro?

There is a lot here that will appeal to a certain group of users – more specifically those that are taller, have minimal experience and want a quiet home rower. The design, build and means of generating resistance are all great.

But, there is a chance that more experienced users could struggle to progress with the settings. Therefore, this Skandika rowing machine is recommendable for those less experienced users that want to try a new approach away from the gym.
