Ultrasport Drafter Rowing MachineRowing machines like the Ultrasport Drafter 600 Rowing Machine will appeal to a lot of people that need to get fit at home, but don’t really know where to start.

The Pros and Cons of this Ultrasport Drafter 600 Rowing Machine

Pros:

  •  The nice-looking design of the compact machine
  •  The accessibility for inexperienced users
  •  The simple data and workout options

Cons:

  •  The resistance is a bit weak
  •  The build isn’t the sturdiest

This Ultrasport Drafter 600 Rowing Machine is a great looking device for anyone that wants to start from the very bottom with their training.

The stand out feature of this fitness equipment is the design. This is a good looking rowing machine with the compact shape, black and red casing and the minimalist approach to the aesthetics.

There is everything that is instantly recognisable to first-time users and nothing else to get in the way. These features include the ergonomic seat on the rail, the large footplates, the handlebar on the pulley system and the little console on the top.

It looks as though anyone could get on board and have a go, which makes a nice change for those that lack confidence.

As for the workout, there is a 4kg flywheel here to help you get a smooth motion on the strokes. There are also 8 resistance levels to choose from and that console to help you record the data.

While there are some people that question the accuracy of that data, you should be able to get a pretty good idea of how far you have gone and how long you have spent rowing. When the session is over, you can fold the machine up and put it away for next time.

But, the basic approach of this Ultrasport 4KG Rower isn’t going to help everyone.

The biggest issues here mostly tend to revolve around the basic feel of this rowing machine. This isn’t going to be able to compete with other machines at the gym.

There are some users that say that the highest level of resistance is about mid-range on a more professional rower. So, experienced users could hit a ceiling a little early on. Then there are those that find that the rail and the general construction of the machine are a little bit weak.

Does this mean that the Ultrasport Drafter 600 isn’t recommendable?

There is the sense here that you get just enough and maybe as much as you should expect for the price. But, there are too many shortcuts and minor issues here for those that know their way around a rowing machine.

There is a chance that some complete novices will be able to get something out of this gym equipment. It is certainly accessible in that respect. So, the Ultrasport rowing machine could still have its place in some living rooms.
